Outdoor Play
Outdoor play is a vital part of our day at Little Acorns. When wrapped up warm with waterproofs and wellies, the children have the freedom to splash in puddles, make mud pies and just enjoy being children! Our motto is:
The 17ft rowing boat with ship's wheel, oar, mast, fishing net and flag reflects our proximity to the sea.
Messy Play MeansHaving Fun!
Our outdoor water tank harvests the rainwater so the children can access this independently, to use in the sand, mud and stone pits, water the herbs and vegetables and feed the birds.
We designed our
outdoor space
to reflect the
children's own
local
environment.
The tunnel and climbing pyramid made from recycled tyres allows the children to crawl, climb, jump and
swing but making potions is still a firm favourite!

Building houses for the Three Little Pigs!
Metal calf troughs are used as water trays to reflect our connection to the surrounding rural farmland.
